(BTM) is celebrating a large milestone in 2014. Founders; Dick Smith , Mike
Edgerton and Mike Smith; met 15 years ago to sketch out the Museum concept and
incorporated it in the State of Ohio as the Society for the Preservation of
British Transportation in America, formed solely for educational purposes. The
IRS awarded the Society 501(c)(3) status 11 years ago.
Operating as the British
progress has been steady through the years with BTM owning 31 vehicles, 14
bicycles, a significant library, and an interesting collection of memorabilia.
BTM and the Society are not funded by any other source or entity, and rely
solely on revenue generated from Museum operations, memberships, donations,
grants, and our generous sponsors (below).
