SERVICE PARTS

Parts for these cars are getting harder and harder to find, but they do turn up in the most unique places! The US supplier list is by myself, and the UK list was compiled by Neil Cairns.

The first stop for all parts is surely our register president,Mick Holehouse. If you still cannot find a part with the help of Mick or this list, please feel free to contact me John Elwood and I'll see what I can do.

This list is supplied as a GUIDE to companies who can offer items and services under the headings.  No recommendation is implied. This list is constantly updated by yourselves keeping me informed about good firms.  As old stock runs out, firms will have to get items re-manufactured, meaning much higher prices.  Support your specialists, if they make no profit, they cannot have new stock made!

US:

Most mechanical components are available from Moss Motors and the other usual suspects. My personal favorite is The Little British Car Company where you can buy the parts online using a credit card and find your parts by using either Moss parts numbers or by describing the part to its search engine. Prices are good too. The Magnette shares parts with the following Moss Catalogs: MG T, MGA, MGB, and Austin Healey. For very specialized parts, like tail lamps, headlamp rims, etc, I would suggest either ordering from overseas, or trying the only nationwide supplier that even claims to supply Magnette parts, Kip Motors. You can e-mail them for a catalog, or call them at 972-243-0440. I have never bought a part from Kip Motors, but in a recent British Car Magazine article they appeared in a very good lighte and have a repuatation for supplying parts for "Post-War British Orphans". I have also had excellent luck finding parts in strange places, like eBay. Again, if you are in the United States and have any trouble finding parts, please contact me John Elwood or my good friend Mick Holehouse.
