Magnette Mk. III Storybook

Story of MG Farina Magnette, Chassis Number 11241

MG Magnette Mk3. Chassis number 11241, engine 11229. LHD. Originally purchased by a Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Gocke of St. Louis, Missouri, USA, from a MG Dealership, J.P.Richard. This dealer was at 55 Rue du General Delestraint, Paris, France. The island green MG saloon was used to complete a European Tour in 1960, and then shipped to the USA, and on to their home in St. Louis. The original owner died shortly after, and the car was put into storage until early 1980. It was then purchased by a Mr.Aubrey Worley, also of St. Louis. On the 29th of September 1981, the car was purchased by Paul Flemming of Manchester, Missouri, with 25,000 miles. Due to lack of attention the car underwent a full restoration, and was completed in July 1982 in it's original colour of island green. There was little rust due to the dry storage, and the car now competes on the USA MG scene.
