Story of MG Farina Magnette, Chassis Number 20049
MG Magnette Mk4. Chassis number 20049, engine number 3404. RHD. This two tone blue over old english white 1963 MG lives in New Zealand. It was purchased new by a Mr. Charles Hatfield, he ran the car for 15,000 miles, then sold it in 1966. A Mr. Stanley Clarke then ran the MG until he passed it to the present owner in 1988. By then the MG had 101,000 miles under its wheels. Phillippe Delpeche of Wakatu, Nelson, NZ, now owns the car, which is a very rare one in that country. By July 1995 the car had passed 111,240 miles and is still going.
