Story of MG Farina Magnette, Chassis Number 21626
MG Magnette Mk4. Chassis number 21626, engine number 4964. RHD. One of a growing band of UK cars modified to run on unleaded petrol. Registered in August 1963, with number 'PCM648', and purchased by Mr. Davies of Wrexham. In May 1965 Mr. Ted Lane of Gravesend, Kent, England, obtained the smoke grey MG, with just 15,000 miles. He has run the car ever since, and at 142,000 miles had the engine rebored, and the exhaust valve seats modified to accept unleaded fuel. By 1995 the car had covered 199,000 miles, and is still running, in very good condition, though it has since had two new front wings.
