Story of MG Farina Magnette, Chassis Number 26639

MG Magnette Mk4. Chassis number 26639, engine number 9907. RHD. Registeredon the 10th April 1965 as 'BGV891C', this originally smoke grey car ( a light blue colour infact,) and now with an old english white lower half, MG saloon was first owned by Dixons Motor and Engineering Co.Ltd., in Suffolk, England. It was used as a demonstrator and showroom car. On the 9th of May 1966 it was then sold to a Mr. Clifford Fredrick Arbon, of The Queens Arms public house, Sudbury, Suffolk. In December 1969 Mr. Lakey purchased the car, who lived in Ipswich, Suffolk. In 1982 the car was treated to a new clutch, just as the 100,000 mile point was arrived at. The car eventually passed to his son, John Lakey, who still runs it. Nicknamed 'Kathy' for no apparent reason, the car needs some work.
