Story of MG Farina Magnette, Chassis Number 4388
MG Magnette Mk3. Chassis number 4388, engine 4508. LHD. Purchased in Perak, Malaysia, and registered there as 'BE9100', on 17th November 1959 by a member of the State Assembly. In 1963 Dr. Malhi of Canning Garden, Perak, purchased the car, and his father now uses it daily, (a teacher.) Tyre supplies in the sizes of the Farina are a problem in Malaysia; and the black coloured car has been fitted with an alternator. It is one of only two MG Magnette Farinas in that country, the other is owned by the Royal family, ( details not known.) This MG has covered 250,000 miles to date!!
