Picture of the Month

May 2017

Here is this month's picture. We hope to update this feature with a fresh picture every month. Please contact me via our Contact Us page and asking me to contact you for a picture. We have changed our email contact procedures in order to prevent spammers so apologies for any inconvenience. Ideally they should be of something special, a special location and your Y, an interesting close up shot of a lesser seen part of a Y that you think will be of help or interest to others, etc.

ChweeTin Khoo from Singapore is the owner of Y 4754. Recently a Robert Pile who used to own this car contacted me and asked if his car was still around. I was delighted to put him in touch with "CT" and when Robert was in Singapore last month he met up with "CT" and also Mr Rajendran who Robert sold the car to before "CT" bought it! A great example of the International nature of MG Y ownership in our 70th year!

The top picture shows (left to right) Robert Pile, Mr. Rajendran and myself (ChweeTin Khoo).

The bottom picture shows Robert with Harry Tan who restored the MG Y for Robert in 1980 when he initially imported it to Singapore.

We drove around the island to meet them all in the MGYA which ran perfectly.
