Two new books that include the MG YT have been added to the Book Review page. These are 'Don't tread on me' by Prudence Crowther and 'Don't mention the Marx Brothers' by Eric Lister. They both have references to, and photographs owned, the MG YT of Sidney J Perelman. Having checked with Sid Beer's family though however, Pereleman's notes of the Paris-Peking run re-creation that were supposed to have been published later in the Sunday Times, were stolen in India and consequently never published - otherwise we would have tried to get hold of them!

Also, Andrew Coulson, cylinder head still hot from his return journey from Silverstone 2008 has filed a report and some pictures.

Chris Blood starts us off for June with an updated picture of YB 0838 to Ys on Parade. Chris has rebuilt the car and it is now ready to go back on the road for the first time in 30+ years.  Well done Chris, and shame you missed this year's UK Spring Run, but there will be one in 2009 I am assured for you to go on - watch this space for news folks.

The Reprinted Article for the start of June, is a Norwegian Adventure from the pen of 'Longships', and is dated December 1955. Reading through the article it is just another of the fantastic routes written up by 'Longships' that is just begging for a re-run! The Picture of the Month again comes from Australia, and this time is from Terry and Cheryl Ciantar and is one of his favourite pictures of his Y. Great Picture Terry, thanks!

Finally, now that Spring is upon the Northern Hemisphere, a word of caution. Like many, you may have been working on your Y over the the last few months, before you drive off, make sure everything is secured - especially the Spare Wheel Compartment lid, mine was not, but I was lucky and it sustained very minor paint damage.  It could have been a lot worse as it fell out when I was on the highway and it could easily have been squashed!
