29 June 2013

It is with the deepest regret that I have to inform you all of the sudden loss of one of the founding members of the International MG Y Type Register and my inestimable colleague, David Pelham. David was an inspiration to many Y owners and we are all devastated here as you can imagine. Only Thursday of this week, I was on one of my many regular calls to David and he was so looking forward to the Sommertreff meeting in July. I have lost my best friend.

Our thoughts, and prayers and condolences go out to his wife Shirley, and daughters Carole and Kirsty.

Please welcome Gordon Skoog, the new owner of YB 0538 on Ys on Parade.

We are pleased to announce another company to our list of recommended suppliers on our Links page. Thomas Smith Fasteners, based in Wigan and Glasgow, supply and manufacture BSF, BSW, UNF, UNC, Metric Nuts & Bolts. They have an extensive itinerary but are also willing to add to them. When we spoke to them they are also prepared to undertake special orders e.g. metric fine threads with Whitworth heads.

In addition to identifying another useful contact we are also pleased to announce that International MG Y Type Register members and TTT2 subscribers can benefit from a 10% discount by entering the code ‘MGMEMBER’ at checkout. If you cannot find what you require on their website then give them a call on +44 (0)1942 520260 or +44 (0)1698 826464 and ask. As always please quote the code above and your membership of International MG Y Type Register or TTT2. Thomas Smith Fasteners are keen to receive feedback on their products and please let us know of your experience.
