Terry Giles admiring his engine bay, Jon Glovers MGC that eventually won the car of show after the tie break with Dave Naylor’s L2. Alongside the MGC is Bob Hubbard’s unusual MGB, originally a factory experimental car for California and originally fitted with O series engine. Still has features such as three wipers.

Other unusual cars attending were Dick Gough’s MGA Twin Cam with fixed roof and originally fitted Webasto sunroof in an unusual colour of pale green (not sure of factory name but almost close to duck egg blue in shade).

Round 3: The Fairmile, Cobham
Thursday 17th July

Organised by Derek Edwards

The third and final round of the alternative PoO was held on 17th July at the Fairmile Natter.

There was a lot of enthusiasm as usual which was nice to see with wide selection of MGs taking part.

Thanks to James our accommodating pub Manager, cars were displayed on the grass opposite the newly extended outside eating area.

We added to his profits greatly by attracting a fair number of onlookers who wandered among the 30 cars  drinks in hand and had what one lady from Dallas described as "The ultimate England experience-I mean this is what we imagine your country to be like-The Pub,beer and old cars, and old English gentlemen!-Nuff said!!
Suffice to say ,it was by far the best turn out at the Natter for many a 3rd. Thursday!

Thanks to Derek for organising despite having to abandon his car enroute and John Morgan for the other 2 ,equally Summery rounds.
Results for the event were:

Best restored Roger Marlow (PB)
Best allrounder Ian McCullock (MGTF)
Most used Brian Moyse (YB)
Car of event Peter Barrell (TD)

Final Overall Result

Results over three rounds are as follows:

Overall winner Dave Naylor (L2 Magna)
Runner up Adrian Malthouse (MGA T/Cam)
Peter Barrell won best restored
