Disaster struck the Lock household two weeks ago when the family computer decided that it had come to the end of its useful life. We have managed to salvage the hard-drive but the new computer is not quite up and running, so don't expect any photos in the Notes for a month or two!
The South West Centre Calendar of Events for 2006 has been finalised thanks to lots of work behind the scenes on the part of the event organisers and various members of the committee. The 'official' tri-fold calendar is being printed as we speak (look out for it in next month's Safety Fast!) but I am able to give you the details this month. Obviously the printed calendar cannot be updated, so please check the website or with the organiser before you travel to an event.

I will give you more details of each of the events as they arise. I would also like to print some event reports this year; I'll be contacting each of the organisers, but if you are an entrant and a willing reporter, then please let me have a short report (with photos if possible) within a week of the event. I'll probably have to edit it to fit in the space available, but if you can live with that then please get writing!
You will see from the calendar that the
committee has decided to organise an event to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of
the formation of the South West Centre. Sadly, nobody got in touch with me with
respect to the original committee members or with ideas for a celebration event.
We are thinking along the lines of a social run and formal dinner, probably in
Bath. If you have any ideas, or can help identify which of the numerous Weston
Hotels was the original venue, then please contact Peter Jones on the number
above.
