MG Saloon Day 2013 Pride of Ownership / Concours d'Elegance

Here is a list of categories that are currently being catered for. A number of rules are also listed.

List information is being updated, and you should check this before the event. This information will be available at the show.

Best MG ZT, ZT-T Open to all MG ZT, ZT-T models MGCC Zed Register
Best Modified MG Zed Open to all Modified MG Zed models MGCC Zed Register
Best Rover Open to all Rover cars.  
Car of the Show Open to all cars.  
Best Master Class Only open to who has won any category in the past 2 years.  

 

Points to be aware of: e.g.:

Minor modifications are allowed in classes, but will be marked down for them unless the category allows them.

Wheels from another direct model will be allowed without loosing points. eg. 6" cross spoke instead of 5.5"
Having MGF wheels on a Maestro / Montego will be marked down.
Having a radio from another model will be allowed, after market radio will be marked down.
Engine transplant will be counted as a major modification - car has to be in the Modified Class.
Sports exhaust will be allowed without loosing points.

Modified Classes.

Having documentation showing modifications score points.
Having the most modified car will not necessarily win.
The owner must fill out the entry form and hand it into the MG'M' Stand. If an owner is unsure which category they should be in, please ask at the MG'M' stand.
Other clubs may sponsor a category that is not covered in the above list. The above list will be updated.
Other clubs may hold their own competitions. Talk to the relevant club for details.
The owner must be around when the judging takes place. The owner will be marked down if they are not around when the judge wishes to see their car.

There will be only 1 judge per class. A judge may judge more than 1 class.

Competition Parking. Please state on the entry form where you are parked, e.g. on a club stand, in the Time Line etc. The judges will not search the event field for your car.
History of your car. Having documentation of a restoration / modification will gain bonus points.
Judging of sound systems is not allowed. An owner may show the judge their sound system, but quality and noise level will not be allowed under any circumstances.
Past winners. Owners of past winning cars only qualify for Best Master Class. Entering them in any other class will not be allowed. They will be eligible for the Car of the Show category.
