New MGs to Appear at Sportscar Show 2001

The 2001 Sportscar Show will play host to the first public display of the new MG Motorsport Team vehicles.

The show, being held this weekend at the Birmingham NEC, will provide visitors with the exciting opportunity to view the MG Lola Le Mans Car, the New MG Touring Car and the MG Rally Car, designed to spearhead the MG marque's return to motorsport success.

The recently unveiled X10, X20 and X30 road cars, designed by Peter Stevens, will also be on display having only previously been seen in press releases from the manufacturer.

There will also be the opportunity to see interviews with the team drivers including Mark Blundell, Julian Bailey, Jonny Kane and Gwyndaf Evans on Saturday and Anthony Reid, Warren Hughes and Kevin McGarrity on Sunday.

The popular MG classics are all well represented at The Sportscar Show accompanied by an impressive gathering of car clubs and a fine array of autojumble, memorabilia and trade stands.

The show is open Saturday 28th April and Sunday 29th April from 9.30am to 5.00pm. Admission is £8.50 for adults, with concessions for children, OAP's, advance and group bookings. Ticket Hotline is 0121 767 4767 (tickets subject to 50p booking fee, parking £5.00)
