Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity Driving Challenge

The Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity Driving Challenge, in association with the Classic Car Club, which is taking place in November and is aiming to raise £40,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Over the years dozens of cars have taken part in the event ranging from a Citroen Barbot Special to the classic Austin Healey 3000.

The Driving Challenge takes place from the 18-20 November 2003. Car enthusiasts, wine buffs and those with a 'spirit of adventure' are invited to drive through the night from Brands Hatch in Kent to Mācon in the Beaujolais region of France. It is test of navigation rather than speed: teams must cross a number of secret checkpoints and reach the finish line with the lowest mileage to win the coveted trophy.

The Hospital:

Every year Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital cares for over 90,000 children from all over the country and abroad. Our mission is to improve the health of these children by being a world-class centre for paediatric care, research, training and education, offering the widest range of paediatric specialities under one roof. Your support will enable us to maintain our highly specialised services and help even more children get better.
