Hever Sunday 22nd September 1996
This was the first time Rachel and I had attended this event, and thourghly enjoyed the day, even though it was a little on the chilly side! Four cars from East Surrey met at Godstone Green for a small convoy to Hever led by Peter and Margret. Along the way I thought Peter was about to launch himself and Margret skyward on a large hump back bridge, but it was the dip in the road just before that made it look like that. My parking skills left something to be desired, as made a pigs ear of reversing the Midget. I blame it on the hood, I can park it fine when the hood is not up (the hood wasn't up). The walking treasure hunt was great as long as you like looking for the names of padlock manufacturers, and what was that T Rex song? Cars were arriving all day as we wandered round the castle and got lost in the maze. I counted at least 4 MGF's which was good to see. We did spend some time wandering round the car park looking for MKII midgets and didn't find one
