This year, Dale Brown will lead the WDMGC convoy to the site of the
Lake Erie British Car Club's annual Car Show: Historic Fort Meigs in
Perrysburg Ohio.
If
you are interested in joining us, we will meet Canadian members at
the Duty Free Shop on the Canadian side of the Ambassador Bridge on
Sunday morning at 8:45 with an anticipated departure of 9:00 am.
From there we will take I-75 south (after crossing the border) and
stop at the Pilot Travel Centre located just off of Nadeau Road
after passing the I-275 and I-75 interchange. This is where we will
meet up with our American members. If you are meeting us there,
make sure you’re at the Nadeau Road Pilot as there is another one at
a nearby exit as well. Our expected departure time from the Pilot
Travel Centre should be 9:30 am or so. From there we will head
through Toledo on I-75 and exit at Route 65 toward Perrysburg. This
section of the drive along the southern shoreline of the Maumee
River is beautiful and worth the trip alone.
Please
join us at one of the above two meeting spots with your two-way
radios and plenty of sunscreen. Also, as Elvin always advises, be
sure to have the club windscreen placard safely tucked under your
driver's seat so that you can place it on your car when you get to
the show. We will be making our way back home shortly after the
awards presentation, around 3:00 pm.
To
confirm in advance that you’ll be coming, which in turn helps us
identify who we should be waiting for at our meet up spots, send
Dale an email by clicking
here.
See
you June 5! |
