Cadwell Park Track Day

Monday 13th June

39 cars and their drivers experienced fast safe driving at our wonderful local circuit. We were of course disappointed with this low figure, 70 cars would have been very nice but equally those who did take part must have thought they had the track to themselves all of the day. I as an organiser was very pleased with the standard of driving displayed by everyone and hence the day went totally without a hitch.

Cars were split into 3 groups and each group went on circuit for 20 minutes every hour. It always amazes me that some are still actually making every last minute count and try to make sure they are the last car off the circuit at 5PM when the proceedings officially end.

I myself have raced for many years and can tell you there is no feeling to compare, but enjoying and taking part in one of our trackdays comes very close. The only differences between a trackday and actually racing is that you have no one to compete with and you are on circuit for hours compared to a 15 minute race.

If you missed this one and would like to enter future Cadwell days or even other MGCC trackdays, then e-mail lincsweb@aol.com and we will gladly put you on our mailing list to allow you to keep in touch.
