Annual General MeetingThursday 2nd March Abbey Lodge, Kirkstead, Woodhall SpaThe 2006 AGM opened with a summary of the year's activity by Chairman, John Laurence. All in all, 2005 was considered a very successful year culminating in the Centre being awarded the Nuffield Gold Cup (to see the press release click here). The Centre's return to competition based activities proved popular encouraging members, both old and new, to try their hand. The Centre's finances remain healthy with expenditure being kept to an absolute minimum. Membership has increased by more than 10% over the year and it is encouraging that these new members are taking an active interest in the Centre. The website goes from strength to strength, with ease of use and excellent content being remarked upon by many site visitors. The meeting ended with a discussion on the future of the MGCC HQ at Kimber House and suffice to say there was a wide variety of views. To meet the new Committee, please click here. In closing the AGM, the Chairman expressed the view that 2006 promises to be an even more successful year than 2005, and with all members help, we can achieve just that. Return to Reports Page |
