Picture Treasure HuntSunday 23rd AprilThe Great Central Railway Picture Treasure Hunt organised by John & Sheila Laurence was a great success with over thirty entrants enjoying the day riding on the Steam Trains between the four Great Central Railway Stations. MGs arrived at Quorn and Woodhouse carpark for 9.30 a.m. and then travelled by Diesel Multiple Unit to Loughborough for a surprise. John & Sheila had arranged for the MG Car Club Lincolnshire Centre Headerboard, made by the late Dave Fletcher in 1993 for a previous event at the Great Central Railway, to be attached to the steam engine '4141' ready for the journey to Leicester North. Everyone was thrilled with the surprise and cameras were soon clicking away. Six sheets of pictures and questions taxed the brains of adults and children alike as they endeavoured to sort out 'what was where' while keep tabs on the timetable so they arrived back at Quorn and Woodhouse before 4.30 p.m. Several entrants found the Station Staff and the public alike keen to 'help' them in their quest for the answers. Just after 5.00 p.m. Sheila thanked everyone for coming and congratulated them on the high scores they'd achieved (out of 100). The top eight results were announced in customary reverse order, with rosettes to the top three:-
