URGENT Event News

This is just a quick, but urgent update on the calendar for this year. Due to various problems there have been some changes to the calendar, which are as follows:

High Auldgirth Hillclimb, 14th May Northern Series has been cancelled. This will be replaced by either a later meeting at the same venue, if the date does not clash, or a new sprint in Yorkshire, which will be deemed a "Hillclimb" for the purposes of the championship. More details will follow when I have them. High Auldgirth was cancelled at short notice due to persistent vandalism on the track and facilities.

Brawdy Sprint, 20th May Southern Series has been moved to 29th July. Regs should already be with everyone. It was originally believed that this would be the same week-end as the first Llys-y-Fran meeting, but in fact is the same week-end as the second Llys-y-Fram event.

Llys-y-Fran Hillclimb, 21st May Southern Series, was intended to tie in with the Brawdy meeting to save travel costs. Only one set of mileage to SW Wales for 2 sets of points. As Brawdy has moved, it was suggested Llys-y-Fran should too. Unfortunately Swansea MC could not guarantee that all 16 entered in the May meeting would get to run, so we have had to leave this meeting on the May date.

Baitings Dam Hillclimb, 8th October Northern Series has been relocated to Scammonden Dam. Baitings is unlikely to get a track licence this year but Scammonden is to have the bottom section of track relaid to bring it up to spec.

A revised calendar is printed overleaf. (copy on web updated)

All the best.
