South West Centre Safety Fast! Notes for February 2004

Well, 2004 is upon us and I've made that mental list of jobs that need to be done on the GT before spring arrives.
First of all I need to tidy up the garage so that I can actually get to the car!
I have been spurred on, however, by the exciting programme of events that the South West Centre has lined up for 2004.

If you still need tickets for the Dinner Dance, then please contact John Bird on 0117 9560175 as soon as possible.
He may even have details of the mystery speaker that I am supposed to be arranging!

A month or two back, I asked you to e-mail or call me with any comments on the 2003 programme of events.
An e-mail came flooding in. You have another chance to make your views known at the Centre AGM on 2nd March.
Please call Bruce Weston on Bruce Weston 01963 440941 for further details.

I recall being somewhat daunted when I entered my first event - a Gymkhana - not really knowing what it was all about. So next month I will give you a brief description of the events to encourage the novices amongst you. The Sprints and Hillclimbs can be pretty serious (which doesn't mean that they aren't fun too), but on the whole the events are social first, competitive second.

As usual, please don't hesitate to e-mail (preferably) or call me if you need any further information.
