As I type these SW Centre Notes for August the
centre should be enjoying the lovely summer weather that has blessed us so far
this year at the MG AUTO Aero Day at Henstridge Air Field, Somerset, but due to
other commitments Jan and I are unable to be there.
Tony, I hope you had a good turn out for what is one of the best social
gatherings of the year.
The Centre continues to offer a good mix of events for all, and the coming
events are a good example.
Peter Jones has already mentioned the Chew Valley Gymkhana, and below is a copy

26 Sept Run to Prescott
Hillclimb Prescott, nr Cheltenham
As you can see, there is something for everyone,
with two more social runs, including the Midget Register Late Summer Run
organised by Dennis Wharf.
If you have never attended this run, it is well worth trying and all are
welcome.
The Run to Prescott promises to be a highlight in the calendar, I have been in
talks with the Bugatti Owners Club, who have been very welcoming to our
requests, such as group parking, (possibly track side) and a run up the hill
during the lunch hour.
Tickets can be purchased directly from the Bugatti Owners Club at a discounted
rate of £10 per ticket.

This month’s photo is of Bruce Weston doing the final sums at the Chew Valley
Gymkhana a few years ago, as you can see; Bruce was so engrossed in his work
that he didn’t even know this was taken. That’s dedication to a good cause!!
