MG Competitons Europe - a new idea!
This series has travelled Europe already for 15 years, but has recently changed its presentation dramatically. Pieter Bakker, the organizer of the series said: "With the introduction of our new 'Legendary Circuits' series, which is primarily based on circuits, instead of cars, we have established a new and unique motor racing series. Because the MG Midgets have raced with us from the start, it goes without saying that as a result today all MGA, MGB, MG BGT and MGC models are welcome".
The choice of circuits is restricted to only the most legendary GP circuits, like; Clermont Ferrand (Charade), Dijon Prenois, Le Mans, Monza, Nordschleife, Pau Ville, Paul Ricard, Spa Francorchamps and Zandvoort. The Nordschleife, the 24km long circuit in the German Eifel, being the anchor and the highlight of this unique series. In July 2009, no less than 4 1/2 hours of circuit time will be allocated to the Eifel circuit, which will include one 100km race and a 30 minute sprint race.

The series closes the season in October 2008 at the renowned Trophé Historiques de Bourgogne on the circuit Dijon Prenois in France. Pieter Bakker believes "It is a good move to end the season down south. In this time of year you're still wearing shorts and also in the evening it is pleasant and relaxing outside. Located in the heart of the Burgundy region, the event also presents itself as a wonderful opportunity to buy some good wines for the oncoming end of season celebrations".
