ASIA

This month we extend a warm welcome to two new members in the region, Mr Michael Brannon from the USA, currently stationed in Japan and who owns a 1969 MGB GT which travels with him, and Mr Hiroshi Tachika from Otsu in Japan, who owns a 1966 M.G. Midget MkII. Hiroshi Tachika has also owned a 1970 Vanden Plas Princess 1100 for the past 10 years and is an organiser of The 1100 Club Japan' which caters for the needs of all BMC A' series and their owners.

News of an event which will have taken place in early February, in Singapore, comes from Dr Ian Lee who writes: Our local club has been invited to ferry the famous Red Arrows' pilots around town when the Asian Aerospace exhibition starts next week. British Aerospace and the High Commission have asked for twenty red M.G.s to be provided and we are all very excited at this rare opportunity to enter a military air base and to take some photographs with the pilots and their planes. . . My only problem is that my M.G. is in Cream Cracker' livery . . . here's hoping that there will be some colour blind chaps around! We look forward to seeing the photographs, Ian! Press cuttings to Julia Marshall please.
