MG ROVER GROUP AND FIRST NATIONAL MOTOR FINANCE SIGN HEADS OF AGREEMENT FOR DEALER RETAIL FINANCE

MG Rover Group ("MG Rover") announced today that it has signed Heads of Agreement for a dealer retail finance arrangement with First National Motor Finance ("First National"), the motor vehicle finance division of First National Bank, a subsidiary of Abbey National.

First National, which is one of the largest providers of motor industry finance in the UK, will provide a number of financial service products, principally including customer retail finance, to the UK MG Rover dealer network.

A further announcement will be made in due course.
