MG ROARS INTO VIRTUAL RACING

MG is the latest star to appear in the new blockbuster video game TOCA Race Driver from Codemasters, a leading developer and publisher of best-selling interactive entertainment.

Currently in development for Playstation 2 and PC the game will feature two MG cars in its line up, the first being the MG ZS EX259. The MG competed in the last six rounds of the BTCC last season and achieved a pole position and registered its first podium finish when Anthony Reid won the sprint race in October. The car makes its full assault on the drivers' and manufacturers' title this year.

The second car to be featured is the road-going MG ZR. This 'hot hatch' launched in July 2001 will compete in a single make race day challenge. The prices for the MG ZR range from £9,995 for the nippy ZR 105Ps version to £15,115 for the high performance ZR 160Ps.

The game, to be launched in June, will feature a total of 13 racing championships including the BTCC, DTM German Touring Car Championship and Avesco V8 Supercars and a total of 42 real cars and 38 international tracks.
