The decision to have an active presence at Birmingham is based on the company's strategy to only participate in the major European shows where orders for new cars can be taken or the traffic and subsequent level of customer enquiries is of a sufficiently high volume and quality.
During its relatively short history, MG Rover Group has significantly expanded its product offering, moving into new market segments. The British International Motor Show provides the opportunity to demonstrate the latest MG and Rover ranges to a huge volume of private and business customers.
Commenting on the decision, John Sanders, sales and marketing director for MG Rover Group said: "The Company is pleased to announce that it will be displaying the MG and Rover ranges at the British International Motor Show where we can expect in excess of 500,000 visitors to our stand. We have recently achieved spectacular success at other European shows by having a new car on display and Birmingham will be no exception to this strategy."
