University Motors 29th Birthday Party

University Motors Ltd of Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, announce their 29th Birthday Party, Saturday, January 24th.

Following three days of annual, intensive shop cleaning, MG enthusiasts are exhorted to "Beat those winter blues! Meet other MG and British Car owners, renew old friendships, view MG videos, inspect our recent shop improvement, sign up for the 2004 Technical Seminars, plan your MG Summer -- AND -- Register for the University Motors MG Summer Party Reunion." University will have chili, crackers and pretzels, birthday cake, soda, adult beverages, and a 50/50 raffle to benefit the West Michigan MG Foundation -- that's Mysasthenia Gravis, a muscular disease. Raffle and cake cutting at 2:30pm.

Many interesting and varied projects will be displayed: 1929 Invicta, 1937 MG VA, 1937 Rolls Royce Shooting Brake, 1969 MGB, 1967 MGB/GT, 1978 MGB, 1953 MG TD.

The West Michigan "Old Specklen Hen" MG Car Club will offer regalia and enroll members. Participants can view the spectacular, silver MG Car Club Nuffield Cup.

When it's -6F outside, find warm fellowship inside! MG - the marque of friendship. Three dollar donation at the door.

Saturday, 24th January, 2004, from NOON to 4pm.

Established in August 1973, University began full time operation January 25th, 1975. This organisation, one of two Heritage Approved workshops in the USA and a trade member of the MG Car Club, is led by John Twist and Caroline Robinson, lifelong MG Enthusiasts. The North American MGB Register was organised at University Motors, as was, just last March, the British Motor Trade Association.
