GET IN GEAR FOR GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL CHILDREN'S CHARITY

Great Ormond Street Charity

Are you a petrol-head who thrives on the thrill of the race? Do you want to feel what it's like to be one of your racing driver heroes, experiencing an intense endurance test like no other driving challenge?? If so, the Le Mans Driving Challege is just what you're looking for.

The GOSHCC Le Mans Driving Challenge is a unique event designed to test your navigational skills through the night. Taking place from 16-19 June 2005, you will undertake a one-of-a-kind driving adventure, starting at one of the great homes of British motor sport, Brands Hatch in Kent and finishing at the legendary Le Mans, arriving in plenty of time to get some well earned rest before watching the most spectacular of all endurance motor races.

Driving late into the night, through the winding streets of France, challenge your map-reading skills via mystery checkpoints within a set timescale, aiming to finish with the lowest possible mileage. This is a test of navigational skills, not speed.

The entry fee per team (driver and navigator) is £440 with additional team members travelling at £220. Each team is asked to raise a minimum of £1,000 for GOSHCC in addition to their entry fee.

Your entry fee includes: welcome dinner at Brands Hatch, scrutineering and parade lap at Brands Hatch, return travel on Eurotunnel, camping pitch for two nights (you will need to provide your own tent and equipment), arrival breakfast, a celebration dinner with wine, Le Mans 2005 general track admission ticket, GOSHCC challenge survival kit, marshalling cards, vehicle rally numbers and administrative costs.

Not included: breakfast (day two and three), any additional accommodation, camping equipment, travel/car insurance, European breakdown recovery.
