The MG Car Club of South Africa was officially founded in September 1948. The MG Sports Car Register combined with the MGCC of SA in 1967 and in 1973, the Club had its final name change to the MG Car Club Cape Town Centre. At the end of 2000, the Club had a membership of 364 owning approximately 345 MGs. The aim of the Club is to maintain, preserve and enjoy MG cars by organizing competitive and social events and by imparting technical information to its members. More information.

A "Natter and Noggin" is held on the first Thursday of each month at the Old Edwardian Club (Old Eds), corner of 11th Avenue and 14th Street, Houghton, Johannesburg at 20h00.
Monthly runs are normally held on the second Sunday of each month and generally start at Grayston shopping centre, Grayston Drive, Sandton, at 10h00. For further information about the Club including diary of events, please visit our website www.mgcc.co.za.

The MG Car Club Northern Centre is based in Pretoria and is affiliated to the MGCC UK. We have just celebrated the MGCC's 80th anniversary. We meet every first Monday of the month at 07H30 at the clubhouse for a Natter 'n Noggin. Visitors are welcome. Please visit our website to check for upcoming Club events and runs.

The MG Owners Club has been active in Pietermaritzburg from June 1989. It currently has a Membership of 35 the cars being mainly from MG TC to MG B , which are carefully maintained, and come out on runs to various points in the Natal Midlands. The Breakfast runs to Wartburghof Hotel are particularly well attended and popular, mine host giving club members a good English breakfast for a reasonable cost.
