This is possibly the last photo of Kirk Botelle's MG 1300 before he crashed out during the 2nd leg of the Anglia Phoenix Challenge at Snetterton on May 21st 2000. The car is far from standard, and runs in the modified class along side MGFs and MGB GT V8s!

The MGCC is the only club to offer a full motorsports programme, and after all MG's are sports cars. As the 1999 season progresses the above table of fixtures will become an active link to a full race report for each of the rounds. Our aim is to bring you all the top MG motorsport news here, first!

If you have never been to a race meeting, then make a date in 99, its a great dayout and once you get bitten by the racing bug you may want to move to the other side of the fence and become a participant, instead of a spectator or perhaps a marshal or some other race official.
We were unable to cover the 1998 championship as much as we had hoped, but we hope to do better in 1999. If you have any motor sport news, please sent it to us here at the Motorsport Newsdesk We already cover various different competitions in the world of MG Motorsport.
