Changing
things up from the usual Tim Horton’s, this year we will meet at
Alibi’s, conveniently located at Huron Church (Hwy 3) and Howard,
where those who would like can also have a full breakfast. Plan on
being there by around 9 am and we’ll leave at around 10 am for Fun
On Wheels located at the Ontario
Transportation Museum (formerly Heritage Village), just outside
Essex, Ontario.
There are
usually only a few other British cars there, making us unique among
the hot rods and antique cars that have numbered as high as 500 in
the past. The cars are parked among the historic buildings of the
village. If you wish bring some lawn chairs, and a picnic lunch or
you can purchase food at the site. There will be a flea market with
parts mainly for American Cars, but some items are generic, and you
never know what you may find.
To
get to Alibi's
If you are coming
from the US side, take the bridge and follow Huron Church southward
and follow the directions around the curve to Highway 3 and 401.
Just after the big curve and after Windsor Crossings Outlet Mall,
you will come to Howard Avenue (traffic light), turn left and you
are there. If you’re coming from Windsor, head straight out Howard
Avenue to Highway 3. There’s lots of parking for all our Little
British Cars.
