1976 MGB
 |
In 1968 John purchased a
1964 MGB (white with red leather seats, red carpets and red top) for
$700.00 and had it painted (same colour) for $135.00. Times have
changed haven't they? He sold it in 1970 when he moved to Toronto, as he
was worried about the engine (three main bearing crank) and front end
problems.
John always regretted that decision and in 1985 after a long search, he
and his wife Miriam found and bought this 76 "B".
Mechanically, this car is original and quite sound, including such
wonderful (?) items as the air pump. He originally thought the body was
as good as the mechanical components but found that major work was
required to ensure a solid, safe and long lasting automobile. The work
was done in Spring 2000 and they are both very pleased with the results.
