If you have been trying to Register your Y with us on the website, apologies that this has not been operational recently, however it is now back up and on line once more so please try again.

21 December 2014

Andreas Rindisbacher has updated the picture and text for Y/T 2662 to Ys on Parade.

Jerry Birkbeck has also added a great Reprinted Advertisement from Thoroughbred and Classic Cars, May 1986 featuring UMG 360.

19 December 2014

Palle Møldrup has updated the picture and text for Y 5660 to Ys on Parade.

18 December 2014

Today, please welcome Ian Gawler who is the new owner of Y 1167 to Ys on Parade.

When we posted the Picture of the Month this month we had no idea of the identity of the car, but we are pleased to say that we have now been able to identify both the owner and the car and are pleased to confirm it is still in existence. In the coming months, hopefully, we will be able to bring you more details on our Interesting Ys page about this car!

17 December 2014

The mid-month Reprinted Article has been added to the site. The article is in Dutch and I would really appreciate if someone provide a translation to English for us please.

Also as promised we have continued our investigations into Ian Allen ABC of British Cars. Apparently the 1947 edition did not include the MG Y but the 1948 and 1949 ones had good four page spreads covering the MG Y and in 1949 the MG Y/T too. These have been added to the Book Review page.

8 December 2014

A new Collectible has been added - a letter from John Thornley.

Also we have just finished combining in a new source of data on our cars into the Database. We now have some details on 3,339 of the 8,336 Y Types ever made. This is over 40% of all known production.

3 December 2014

Willem Van der Veer has sent in three new adverts to the Reprinted Advertisements page, thank you Willem.

1 December 2014

Twenty days to go until Mid-Winter's day in the Northern Hemisphere and Mid-Summer's day in the Southern, so we hope you are all enjoying your Ys whether in the Garage wrapped up like Paddington Bear, or driving down to the beach for a'Barbie'.

This month's Picture of the Month again comes from Tony Slattery.
