Masaaki SakaguichiIt is with deep regret that I have to post that today I have been advised of the recent death of Masaaki Sakaguchi.

Masaaki was working his MG PB, he felt sick and called an ambulance. He lost consciousness in the ambulance and went into cardiac arrest on arrival at the hospital. He passed away on 13 May because of cerebral infarction. He was 65 years old.

Masaaki has been a long time MG Y owner and was been our International Representative in Japan since the inception of the International MG Y Type Register. Masaaki has also provided many fine parts to other MG Y owners over the years too and was an irrepressible character. I will miss his humour, bright outlook and colourful emails.

Continued research has now identified one of the Reprinted Articles that was previously of unknown date and publication. We are now pleased to advise that the article on 'The New 1 1/4 Litre' has been traced to Outlook Magazine, June 1947. The PDF is now identified by its correct cover and is located in the 1947 - 1949 section. The file has also been edited and correctly credited to the correct source and renamed too.

The International MG Y Type Register has created a Tribute Page to permanently honour one of our founders and a most wonderful man — David Pelham. We miss our dear friend, never forgotten. One of the Charities the family specifically nominated for donations was the British Heart Foundation and there is a DONATE button on this page and we hope that you too will please contribute generously to this worthy cause in memory of David. Thank you.
