An interesting few updates today - all from Australia, and all from Ron Humphris.  Please welcome Ron and his two Ys (YT 2618 and YB 1179) to Ys on Parade.  Both of Ron's cars are of special interest as YT 2618 joins its sister car YT 2617 to make yet another consecutive pair on the site, and also YB 1179 is our first YB from Australia (YBs were not exported to Australia)!  Ron has also sent in anInteresting Y - an MG Y breakdown truck!  Thank you Ron for your contribution.

After having thoroughly entertained us over the preceding months, it is not without a small twinge of sadness we now post the closing episode of the magnificent Antipodian Adventure saga from YT 3208 and Richard Prior.  I am sure you will all join with me in thanking Richard for taking the time to write the amazingly funny storylines, select from his massive collection of photographs amassed on the trip, and then send them in for us to enjoy.  Richard, thank you very much indeed, from everyone - it will be a difficult act to follow and we are truly grateful to you, and all your fellow travellers for sharing your fantastic journey with us.

Neil Cairns, our Safety Fast scribe and one of our Technical "Grease Guys" has had an accident and is temporarily excused duty!  Meanwhile, his email sent to his email address will be handled by David Pelham.  We wish Neil a speedy recovery and return to full duties as soon as possible.

Apologies also for the delay on loading your mid-month update, small mitigation I know but for those who are interested, I have now moved into our new home in the USA, in Montesano, Washington, and my wife joins me here this Saturday.  The Reprinted Article this month was supplied to me by David Mullen and is a smashing article from Autosport February 1952.  Enjoy, and thank you David.  There is also a new Reprinted Advertisement for you too.

Many thanks to Karl Heinz Borchers for the latest excellent addition to the Brochures page - if ever you wanted a hire car, this must have been it!  I'd love to know how many people took it up, and then bought one!

Willem van der Veer has kindly sent in some interesting variations to our Reprinted Brochure collection - a later Colour Chart, and an early 1950 Export brochure.  Both are subtly different from the previously seen editions.

I am still looking for suggestions from you for a new screensaver - see 1 June News - please.

By kind permission of John Edward's family we are pleased to share with you a family photograph of John, his family, and his Y as this month'sPicture of the Month.

Probably not news to many who have upgraded to Windows XP, but I have loaded the existing screensaver to my XP laptop, and to my amazement it would appear to be fine, so I won't be getting any new software after all! To those of you who have not installed the screensaver following an upgrade or purchase of a new computer, no problem, the only operating systems which it does not function with are Windows NT and Windows 2000.
