We are also pleased to announce plans have now begun for the Australian celebration of the MG Y's Octogintennial Anniversary Rally in 2027. Please see the notice below:

Hello Y-Type Owners,
Some thirty years ago, Steven and Lynne Brompton hosted the 50th Anniversary Rally for the MG Y-types in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney.
Since then, many of us have gathered to celebrate the Y-Type and to meet and socialise face to face – all have been great times, exploring great roads with other Y-Types.
In 2007, we went to Maitland, New South Wales for the 60th. In 2012 we were at Mount Victoria New South Wales for the 65th in 2012. Then to Nambour, Queensland for the 70th in 2017, and more recently Gympie Queensland for the 75th in 2022.
Ewan Ward has stepped forward and offered to host the 80th Anniversary rally in 2027. It will be in Queanbeyan NSW from Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th October 2027.
Please save these dates and give some thought to attending the Y-Type 80th Anniversary Rally in 2027!
Further details will be provided as they become available and Expressions of Interest called over the coming months. Meanwhile, if you are aware of any clashes with other major events or any other feedback, then let us know.
My email is theclassicworkshop67@gmail.com and Ewan’s email is ewanward@iprimus.com.au.
Yours in Y-Types
