Andrew Coulson has provided his usual amusing sideways look at the Silverstone International Meeting and the Y Register's participation.  A link has been put on the Events page too.

Matt Sanders had added another Y to his collection with Y 6833 so welcome to Ys on Parade.

If you have downloaded the Engine Reassembly Torque Settings and Check List we published earlier this month (3 June 2007), please download it again as we have noticed and corrected some inconsistencies. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Please welcome Peter Sharp with his latest acquisition YB 1100 to Ys on Parade.  Peter's car makes yet another sequenced pair with YB 1101.  At this rate we will soon be posting the 100th YB too!  Keep them coming.

Today, please welcome Nick Baker with YB 1023 to Ys on Parade.  If the name is familiar, it may be because of his father, Robert Baker, who owns Y 1090: it is clearly a family thing!  Please also welcome David Ward with YT 3915 to Ys on Parade.  David's car is the 100th YT on the website and gives us a full 1/3rd of all known YTs!!  Thank you both Nick and David for sharing your cars with us.

Well, we now have enough Ys on the website for one a day ... even in a leap year!  Today, please welcome Loene Fuller with YT 3871, and Robert Pringle with Y 4770 to Ys on Parade.  I guess the next milestone will be the posting of the 100th YT on the web!

The YBs are piling in: today please welcome Brian Hough and YB 1506 to Ys on Parade.  With one more car on the Parade, and we will have365 cars on the site - enough to keep you busy looking at one a day for a year - by which time of course we would have more for you to look at too!

Today, please welcome Eric Platt and YB 1281 to Ys on Parade.

A new advertisement has been added to the Reprinted Advertisements page from 1953.

The mid-month Reprinted Article is from an unknown publication and date but is appropriately entitled "The New 1 1/4 litre".

Finally, if you have been having problems downloading the video clip files from either the UK 60th Anniversary Spring Run, or from Y's on Film (for either Le Petit Soldat, or Sweeny 2), the video codecs have been revised to a more friendly windows standard so you should now be able to download and enjoy these files: apologies for any inconvenience in getting these sorted out.

Taking an engine apart is easy - putting it back together correctly and ensuring that you have checked everything is harder. Dave DuBois recently sent in a quick check list of torque settings and checks to be carried out on rebuilding an XPAG engine. This has been added to both the Hints and Tips page, and the Technical Data page.

The Picture of the Month this month is from the Maitland Sixtieth Anniversary (not previously seen but now added) and shows Tony Slattery's YT with Tony in the driver's seat. Next to him is Steve Brompton and Alf Luckman is leaning on the door with his car is in the foreground.

Two Reprinted Articles have been added this month. The first is from The Modern Motorman, January 1950, and the second from Totally T  Type following up on some of the recent BBS threads and covers fitting a new fuel sender unit.  This brings our library total of reprinted articles to 100!

Graham Loader has also sent in a copy of the special commemorative poster that was given to all Y participants on the MG Car Club of South Australia tour to mark the 60th Anniversary.  This has been uploaded now to thespecial page of photographs and reports.

Please also welcome John Coburn, the new owner of Y 3930, to Ys on Parade.

Andrew Coulson informed me of a trip that he, and a small band of brother Y owners will be making to the Emerald Isle of Ireland later this month too: we wish them well and no doubt will see some photos later too.
