Andrew Coulson has sent in a report of his and Arlene's magnificent Tour of Yorkshire from last weekend.  I am very jealous that I couldn't go on it!

David Pelham has also kindly sent in some pictures of the spanner sets recently sold (now sold out) at Silverstone which were specially made for the MG Y Register by Masaaki Sakaguichi.  These have been added to the Collectibles page.

Neil Cairns has written a very interesting article for us on the Sister cars to the Y Type - the Morris 8 and 10.  Click here to read it and thank you Neil.

A friend of mine, Gary Evans who also restored my Y Type with me in the summer of 2003 spotted this article in our local paper the Romsey Advertiser at the end of July.  He very kindly cut it out and sent it to me, so I have added it under Interesting Ys.

Nico Dreesen has been in touch, via Willem van der Veer, and we are currently working on a translation of Nico's marvellous picture history of his restoration, per the added link from 10th August below.  Meanwhile, here is the current month Reprinted Article for you to enjoy - from the 1960's this time.  It is about three Canadians, a YT, and a volcano ... got your interest?  It got mine!

Nico Dreesen has had a very interesting page created for his car.  Although the page narrative is in Dutch we can probably all relate to the pictures!  See the link for Nico Dressen in the Personal Home pages section of the Links page.  Hopefully, in the fullness of time we can feature a translation to go with the excellent photographs on this site too.

As if he hasn't got enough to do, organising the Ys for Yorkshire weekend next weekend, Andrew has sent in a report of the Harrogate 2004 MG Show where Bernard Meynell's YA won the concours against all-comers.  Bernard - we haven't got your YA on the site yet!

One of the great things about moving is that you actually look in boxes that you have had lying around for years.  Occasionally you come across a little gem, as I did in a box of old Christmas and birthday cards which I had kept: see the Artists Impressions page for the first card I received from the artistic hand of Jack Murray in 1997.  It will now reside with the other cards from Jack that I have accumulated over the years!

Welcome to August, and welcome also to Andrew Edwards with Y 1126 to Ys on Parade!

Event-wise this month we have Andrew Coulson's Yorkshire weekend, and no doubt we will be enjoying the report he has promised to file in due course with some lovely photos of Ys in a lovely part of the world.  Although he did not quite make 10 cars at the Ripon Old Car Show, 6 was very respectable and it we hope Andrew will follow through and get an actual copy of the photograph of his speeding camera offence for the photo to be Picture of the Month too!

We also have another new Picture of the Month for you.  Barry, we do hope you still have your knee caps at the end of the month!  Do send in your pictures, together with a short paragraph about who, where, when and what the picture is about please.
