frankrussellAfter 10 years service as our Canadian Representative Frank Russell has now sold his wonderful Y and resigned his position. Frank provided a great service to us and to our Canadian members. Thank you Frank for all that you have done for us.

kimherfordKim Herford has graciously taken on the role and we welcome him to the position.

Kim immigrated to Vancouver from the United States in 1970 after interviewing for a job as a Hovercraft Pilot in Vancouver. He met his wife in Vancouver and moved to Grand Bend, Ontario then back to the US for work. In 1980 Kim moved back to Vancouver area with his wife and two daughters where we permanently settled in Mission B.C.

He was involved with building Yachts in the Lower Mainland for the remainder of my career installing mechanical ,plumbing and electrical systems.

Kim has always had an interest in older vehicles and became involved with the Vancouver Pre 56 MG Unclub. There was one YT in the club at that time but later he met a few more owners. He bought my YT in 2008 and have been doing a frame off restoration since. He his since converted the chassis to YB running gear, a 5 speed gearbox and a TF 4:88 rear end. He also owns a 1939 MGTA, 3 TD's a TF 1500 and a 1956 Ford Thunderbird.

We wish Kim well in his new role.

This month's Picture of the Month. It shows just how green a car the MG Y really is - thanks to Tony Slatttery and his garden art.

Also, a new clip has been added to Ys on Film and other media ... or ... The Star is the Car! pages! At this time we are unaable to identify the particular MG Y seen briefly. Spotted thanks to the eagle eye of David Mullen!
