It is with great sadness that we report on the passing today of one of the greatest contributors to preserving MG Y and T Types - Al Moss who is better known as the man behind Moss Motors. To attempt to do an obituary here would be inappropriate so please visit Moss Motoring's site. Having personally had the honour of Al review my MG Y at a GOF a couple of years ago (Al was also a former MG Y owner) and have him comment on the car as being one of the best restorations of a Y, and also having had him comment favourably too on this website, he certainly knew his Ys. He was a very kind and respectful man and the world is a poorer place for his passing. Our thoughts and prayers should be for his family at this time please. Thank you. Webmaster

David Pelham and his international adventurers all returned home safely having had, from what David has told me, was an excellent time. While they were away from their cars though, John Ushant spotted them in a car park and took a bunch of photographs and put them on his facebook page! So if you have a facebook account, check them out here. Webmaster

On the 9th of this month the MG Y Type Tour of Brittany, as organised by David Pelham, will leave for France. Sadly David informed us yesterday of the first breakdown of the tour - the ferry they were hoping to catch has suffered from "Technical Difficulties". David kindly offered them a spare XPAG engine but Brittany Ferries politely declined the offer and have put on a substitute vessel - maybe not as fast ... but as we all know, that just leaves more time to enjoy! We wish them every success and safety as they venture abroad on a truly International event. They will be joined on the continent by Dutch, Swiss, French MG Ys and their owners! "Bon voyage" would be the appropriate thing to say! We look forward to a report in due course!
With this in mind Picture of the Month for September comes from Bryan Mellem, thank you Bryan! The Reprinted Article comes from Autosport magazine, from 8 February 1957 and is titled "Production Car Racing with M.G.". Webmaster
